About Us

Founded in October 2011 by David Baskerville, initially undertaking sub-contractor or interim project roles before changing tack to more traditional consultancy.

With a true passion for technology, we bring a wealth of experience and energy to your projects. Our clients see us as a ‘safe pair of hands’ tackling IT challenges head on so that they are resolved with the minimum of fuss.

Our aim is that most of your IT should be invisible, working well in the background as a platform so that you can focus on the really exciting stuff, the type of technology that will make you stand out from your competitors and allow you to provide differentiating levels of client service.

At the same time, we work hard to ensure that everybody involved feels included and confident, creating an atmosphere of positive collaboration. We recognise that all firms and individuals are unique and have a different appetite for technology and change.

Let us help you cut through the challenges and find your passion for technology.

REVIEW

We carry out detailed reviews that deliver an independent assessment of your current IT service and provide options to support your short and long-term business goals.

We can provide a full IT strategic review or focused reviews on particular aspects

SELECT

We are experienced in supporting firms in the definition of requirements and the identification and procurement of the best solution. Be that Software, an out-sourced service or enhancement of internal skills.

We are equally as versed at negotiating improvements with an existing solution.

IMPLEMENT

From our perspective, the most successful projects are those that we help to deliver, ensuring that you can maximise on our knowledge of your firm and the time spent in reviewing the requirements and selecting the right solutions

Depending on the size of your internal team and their capabilities, we can provide high level support or a more hands on service.

SUPPORT

We are proud of the fact that many of our client engagements far outlast the initial project, and we are often retained to provide longer term strategic support.

We are able to provide experience from our years working in Legal Practice and further years working as consultants with many firms and suppliers.

TRAINING

We support our clients with using their IT systems effectively by training their staff on the software and processes they need to use in their day-to-day roles. This could be implementation training on a new product, or some upskill training on existing ones. We also offer support to new starters with our bespoke new starter induction programmes.

Training is an essential part of firms understanding their IT.

Our Experience

The majority of our consultants have held board level positions in law firms as well as being experienced consultants.

We bring operational hands-on know-how as well as managerial and consulting experience, meaning that we consider not only the technical IT aspects of your project, but also the broader business needs and the human element – what it’s like for users.

You will find us friendly and helpful, but focused on delivery.

“Although we had done a huge amount of research and due diligence in the run up to the selection project, we still hadn’t ever done a project of this scale before. We were confident but thought it made sense to seek some extra reassurance and confirmation that we were on the right lines; to maybe challenge some of our assumptions and help us clarify our thinking; and to just wrap around us a comfort blanket of experience, knowledge, insight, objectivity and encouragement.”

Mel Smith, Chief Information Officer, Buckles Solicitors LLP.

"Baskerville Drummond was retained by Lanyon Bowdler to review the firm’s need for a new Business Information (BI) reporting solution. As a result of this initial investigation we now have a better understanding of our requirements and the options available to us. We also have more clarity regarding where the timing of this project should sit in relation to other initiatives within the firm."
