Baskerville Drummond will be marking the first of December not with the traditional Advent calendar opening but with a celebration of both a significant milestone and company development.
The legal technology and finance consultancy is set for its 10th anniversary and will start its second decade as an LLP, reflecting the past growth and future vision for the Baskerville Drummond team.
Founder David Baskerville explains:
“The consultancy that started out as just me undertaking mid-term interim IT engagements has transformed into a 10-strong unit of senior consultants, service managers, project managers and business support staff working into regional, national and international law firms.
“The move to LLP creates equal ownership with all consultants becoming Members, which isn’t only equitable but also very empowering for those involved. It better reflects our size and structure, our capability and calibre as well – we want to attract new talent, we want to bring in additional work, and the switch gives us that ‘booster’ platform to do just that.
“The last ten years has been a remarkable ride and I am so grateful to all those clients who have entrusted us to deliver and who have been generous in their support and referrals. When I left Tollers I rang Dad to say I’d taken the voluntary redundancy and was going to go consulting. I remember saying ‘If I get a week of work this year that would be good and I’ll see what next year brings’. Little could I Imagine where we would be ten years later: a Chambers Band 1 rated consultancy, LawNet’s preferred IT consultants and an amazing team working so well together.
“I’m hugely excited by the people around me, they are all superb to work with and passionate about what they do for clients. They offer us so many more options in terms of what we can do to add value. New offerings like the Virtual IT Manager Service are already in play and the challenge there will be keeping pace with demand.
“The next ten years will certainly be very different to the last ten – but I’m thrilled to have got this far and we are all, as Baskerville Drummond LLP, excited by the prospects ahead for the next ten.”
